Before becoming a painter, Toni enjoyed a highly productive collaboration with singer/songwriter Carole King. Toni provided the lyrics for several of King’s songs of the late '60s and early '70s, the most notable being It’s Too Late, which appeared on the album Tapestry. The strength of this team was proven by the sale of more than 23 million albums and numerous industry awards. Where You Lead, also from Tapestry, written by Toni and Carole, is now the theme song for the popular WB Network television show The Gilmore Girls.
Toni’s music has been recorded by many artists, including Gloria Estefan, Barbra Streisand, Faith Hill, Amy Grant, Helen Reddy, Dishwalla, Drag On, and many others.
While Toni has written, illustrated, and published several books, she has turned her attention exclusively to painting and the richness of expression this medium offers.
